The issuance of a high school diploma to any student will be contingent upon the fulfillment of Effingham County School District and Georgia State Department of Education requirements. The Effingham County School District requires 24 units for graduation. Please note that additional requirements are needed to earn STEM and/or Scholar Endorsement.

**Students must complete 3 units in a Pathway (Area V) to complete a CTAE Pathway and take an end of Pathway assessment. Students interested in attending a University System of Georgia college/university must complete 2 years of the same Modern Language to be admissible as a Freshman.

- To check your HOPE Grade Point Average (GPA) (high school students only): Sign in to your GAfutures account. Be sure your Profile has your correct high school, SSN, date of birth and zip code. Click: My HOPE GPA link on the right hand side of your my GAfutures screen under trending. Next, using the Navigation Alphabet, select the alphabet letter for the beginning of your high school's name and click on the box. (If this process does not help, check with your high school to verify if your transcript has been uploaded to GSFC.)
3. How to complete a college application

- Note- GaFutures is a site that supports institutions within the state of Georgia. If you are interested in applying to a college/university outside the state of Georgia, you will need to visit that college/university's website.
4. Please review and complete the example of a college application. This will be a great starting point for when you begin your college applications.
1. Join the Google Classroom for your graduation class. Email your counselor to join.
2. Create a GAFutures account if you do not have an account - https://www.gafutures.org/ You can use this account to apply to colleges, check your HOPE GPA, and research careers.
5. Research 3 colleges/universities/technical colleges. ** You can use the Prospective Students links below, your YouScience results, or research colleges on your own.

After you complete your YouScience brain games, your results will be available within 24 hours. You will receive an email to the email linked to your YouScience account (The email you used when you created your account) when the results are in. If registering with NCAA or NAIA, you will need to have your ACT or SAT scores sent directly from the testing agency.
